1st Pateros River Run
Our first Pateros River Poker Run was a success with 46 riders and 10 passengers, holding 74 Poker Tickets. The event raised $550.00 for the charity Operation Comfort Warriors (OCW) through the American Legion. OCW provides much needed comfort supplies like books, DVDs, electronics and phone cards to wounded, injured, or ill military personnel that are not supplied by the government. For more information about Operation Comfort Warriors click here.
We would like to thank Brian DiJulio and The Love Jacks, Everyday Sunshine and the Kingdogs for donating their time to entertain the crowd, along with all of our sponsors, Iron Dragons Riding Club, Lake Pateros Inn, and Yancey's Pateros Hardware, to name a few, and our many volunteers coordinated by Matt and Bob of the Iron Dragons Riding Club.
2nd Annual Pateros River Run
Our Annual Pateros River Run, was amazing. We have grown from last year's event and hope to continuing growing every year to come. We raised over $1,700.00 for the NW Honor Flight Organization. The money raised came from rider and passenger registration fees, personal donations, and funds matching. There was an increase in riders as well as passengers. Sixty-three riders signed up to ride along with their twenty passengers. That's an increase of almost 50% from last year's registration.
We wish to send a huge thank you to all our entertainers, Brian DiJulio and the Love Jacks, Billy Moon, The 350's, Water Dogs, and our wonderful Elvis Impersonator. We apologize for listing his name incorrectly. Now would someone please send us an email through the Contact Us page with his correct name so we can give him proper credit. He came to our event free of charge in support of charity.
Thank you all the riders and passengers for taking the time out your busy schedules to support our charity as well.
One last thank you, to all of our volunteers of the Pateros River Run that help make this event what it is and being so supportive.
